Nordnes Camp & Bygdesenter are located in the heart of Saltdal,
close to the E6 road and the Saltdal River.

The camp site

The camp site is open all year. We have 12 cabins for hire and nice places to park your caravan, camper, or to put up your own tent. All the sites have electricity and free satellite TV connections. We have a popular playground for children, and in the roadside restaurant you can play billiards. If you want to surf the internet, we have an internet PC or wireless internet access for your own PC.

Nordnes Camp & Bygdesenter is centrally located, and an excellent starting point for roundtrips in the area, for instance to Saltstraumen, Bodø, The Arctic Cirle, The National Park Centre or The Salten Museum and The Blood Road Museum at Rognan.

Nordnes is also a good starting point for walking in Saltfjellet-Svartisen National Park or Junkerdal National Park, or if you want to fish in rivers, lakes or in the fjord.

The restaurant

We wish you a warm welcome to our roadside restaurant. The restaurant has a characteristic style. You can enjoy good homemade cooking in an atmosphere created by a unique architecture of sturdy rock and timber. Try our popular local speciality "Møsbrømlefse".

The restaurant is open all year.

The souvenir shop

Nordnes Camp also offers guests the convenience of a small shop, where you can buy standard grocery items, local produced homecrafts and other souvenirs.
